I guess we all can have a bad day

I recently went to the NYC premiere of "Dinner for Schmucks" & while the movie was funny I must say I was kind of disappointed with the demeanor of some of the actors.
Let me start by saying I felt very fortunate to even be invited, me a regular everyday person being invited to the premiere of a big movie with big name actors, that's so cool. I had only gone to two premieres before & both were a lot of fun so I was expecting the same from this one. Alas that was not to happen. While Bruce Greenwood, Larry Wilmore & Director, Jay Roach were very approachable, even posing for pictures with us, stars like Steve Carell, Paul Rudd & Zach Galifinakis did all they could to avoid us. I mean don't get me wrong, I know that they are stars and that they have to put up with fans like me for their entire careers but I'm not a stalker, all I wanted to do was say "Hi, I loved your work, would it be o.k. to get a picture?" Why come to a premiere in NYC & then not want to interact with your fans. We're the ones who go to your movies...we're the ones who encourage others to go see the brilliant work you have done, why would you snub us? When I went to the premiere of "From Paris With Love" both John Travolta & Jonathan Rhys-Myers were the pictures of perfection, posing for pictures with us and giving us their autographs. I guess I was just spoiled by that. I just have to realize that not all celebrities are alike & that each & every event will be different. I guess I was just caught off guard & a little disappointed.
Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest! :)
